Who are we?…
Stonebrook Mortgages provides expert mortgage, protection and insurance advice.
Stonebrook Mortgages is a trade name under which we carry out these services. Stonebrook Mortgages is not a business in it’s own right, it is part of Just Mortgages Direct Limited, which is an appointed representative of Openwork Limited.
Just Mortgages Direct Limited was set up in 1989 and has been part of The Openwork Partnership since 2016. The Openwork Partnership is one of the UK’s largest Financial Advice networks, with over 4,500 advisers and in excess of 700 appointed representatives based throughout the UK.

Meet the team!
Meet Paul
Paul began his career in finance and banking almost 20 years ago, and with a short detour into the world of sports and fitness, has been in the Financial Services sector for over 14 years. Prior to becoming self-employed in 2016, he was a Senior Mortgage & Protection Adviser working for a national network of estate agents for 7 years.
He now has a large network of clients nationwide built mainly through word of mouth referrals, and also by working with local estate agents, accountants and other professionals.
In his spare time, Paul has always enjoyed keeping fit and has completed marathon distance races in the past. He challenged himself to compete in the Ironman UK in Bolton in his 40th year, 2021, which he completed in 12 hours 13 minutes, and qualified for the World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. He beat his time from Bolton by 1 hour 15 minutes, and completed the course in grueling conditions in 10 hours 58 minutes. The next challenge is Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Lahti, Finland in August 2023.
Paul is also a huge Manchester United fan, and enjoys spending time with his family.
Meet Laura
Laura has worked in the mortgage Industry now for almost four years, following a 15 year long successful career as a Criminal Defence lawyer in Manchester.
Having worked closely with Paul, she has developed an extensive knowledge of lender criteria and takes great pleasure in finding client’s positive solutions in challenging situations. She is a friendly and personable adviser who will make sure you understand the process fully, helping with any questions along the way.
Laura is a Manchester United fan, having had a season ticket at Old Trafford since she was 16 year old. She has a passion for interior design and loves to spend time with her young family when she isn’t working. She also enjoys keeping fit, and is a bit of a foodie.
